How to resist Devil

when we compare ourselves to Israelites, we can see a lot of similarities. God helps them in every trouble, but they turn back against God after a while and continue doing sin. In the same way, we also cry to God for help. God hear our prayer and help us. Later then, we humans act like Israelites and forget God.

Today the main two ways through which the devil is causing trouble are money and lust. "No one can be a slave to two masters. He will hate one master and love the other. Or he will follow one master and refuse to follow the other. So you cannot serve God and money at the same time. (Matthew 6:24)".God hates those who serve idols or worship other gods.

We must be faithful to him. This does not mean we should be economically backwards. For example, God gave Abraham, Jacob, Job more than enough riches and blessing, but still, they didn't worship money. Even in trouble, job said, "He said, 'Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked shall I return there; the Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord." (Job 1:21). We also must serve God like this. We should try to be happy with what we have. Give from what you have so you will get back more than you give. Don't worship or live for making money; instead, live for God and his kingdom. " Your heart will be where your treasure is." (Matthew 6:21)".Always search for God in your heart, not money. Have faith in God that he will give you riches abundantly.

Another sin where a lot of people jump into is lust." But I tell you that if anyone looks at a woman with lust, he has already committed adultery with her in his mind(Matthew 5:28)".We can resist this sin only by controlling our mind." You should know that your body is a temple for the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is in you. You have received the Holy Spirit from God. You do not own yourselves(Corinthians 6:19)."Submit ourselves to God so that he will take control of us and the devil will flee away.

Do not be afraid of the situation you are facing now. As I have mentioned, whatever evil we do, he will always forgive us because he is a loving God. But don't take this as a privilege but work and do amazing jobs for him.
