Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him;

Recently, I came across a wonderful Bible verse on faith: "Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him; but I will maintain mine own ways before Him" (Job 13:15).
This verse came to my mind while I was going through struggles, and it brought me peace. I think the best way to achieve this kind of faith is by memorizing Scripture. When we overthink or start to worry, we can keep repeating those verses that give us faith and peace. This helps us divert the negative thoughts the enemy tries to send into our minds.
As Christians, we will struggle a lot because our fight is against worldly riches and temptations. Others might think we’re living a boring life because we set limits on ourselves. It’s true—when we follow God, we might have to give up things that bring temporary pleasure. I’ve experienced this personally. In the past, I had to make a decision that made me sad, but the Holy Spirit kept urging me to take that step because it was against God’s will.
It wasn’t easy to leave those things behind, but I obeyed. At the time, I couldn’t understand why God was asking me to do it. But now I do. His Word is always true, and His plans for us are greater than anything we could imagine.
God is so good. He has lifted me from the pit I was living in, and now I can see His purpose for my life. My prayer today is: "God, forgive me for my sins. I lived a sinful life, but You looked at me and rescued me. I am in Your presence now, and I will always be grateful to You. Even if You slay me, I will trust in You."
Amen.
